Our family met at the Zoo to celebrate our grandson's third birthday. There were 4 families. It was a great day for all! Of course the playground at the end with bread bowls of clam chowder were highlights. The kids especially enjoyed the big cats, the giraffes and the prarie dogs! Everything was clean and felt quite safe which allowed everyone to enjoy the day!

I haven't Been there in 38 years. It is a wonderful place to visit. If you live way out of town ,leave way far in advance . I live in the Sacramento area and it takes an hour and a half to get there . But it is on the other side of San Francisco. My daughter and I got there a couple minutes before we wouldn't have made it in .

With the covid-19 mandates, the exhibits that were indoors were off limits. It looked as if they were initially letting people into those areas as there were direction signs, but there were signs indicating they weren't open. Seeing there rest of the animals in their open spaces were great for my kids and in some of the areas where the space had multiple animals was fascinating. I look forward to going back and checking out the indoor exhibits and the new exhibits they were creating at a future time.
