Full description
Discover the archaeological ensemble of Itálica on this tour of sites used as sets on the HBO TV series “Game of Thrones”. You can learn the history of this Roman city, as you follow in the footsteps of all your favorite characters. Your guide will meet you at the main entrance of the ancient city. From here, you will have a short introduction to the history of this legendary and old city, visiting some of the "domus" where the roman citizens used to live 2,000 years ago. Itálica also has one of the best collections of mosaics in Spain. The Roman Amphitheater is the greatest building in this complex, and is most famous filming location visited on this tour. Who could have imagined that 20 centuries after its creation, huge dragons would be flying over the ruins while Jon Snow, Daenerys, Cersei, and a dozen other characters met to hash out their differences in the face of the greater enemy.

If you're into history or the Roman Empire this is definitely an impressive sight to behold! Supposed hometown of Emperors Trajan and Hadrian, who were pretty big deals. The preservation/restoration of the (still active) site, specifically the mosaics, is quite impressive. And of course GoT was also filmed in the colosseum. Our guide Javier was nice, spoke English well, and even gave us local tips and recommendations after. Not to be overlooked when visiting Seville!

Neive was lovely.and very informative. Overall the tour was really fun and interesting, however we did sign up for a "Game of Thrones" tour and there was jt a mention that it was filmed there and that was it! Really should not be listed as a GoT tour - bit of a con in that respect but did enjoy the tour none the less

Our guide Jesus had an engaging and animated narrative style that made the tour fun and memorable! He was like a historian, guide and stand up comedian rolled into one. Italica itself is not as extensive and well preserved as Pompeii or Ephesus, but if you’ve not been to either, the mini coliseum and beautiful mosaics are worth a visit.
