Full description
Italica was the first Roman city founded in Spain, built in 206 B.C. after the battle of Ilipa. Enjoy a 2-hour tour of the ruins of this ancient city, led by a knowledgeable guide.  The site is located just 8 kilometers northwest of Seville. More than 2,000 years later, it still holds the essence and atmosphere of the Roman Empire. Under the rule of emperors Hadrian and Trajan, the city further expanded during the 2nd century. Nowadays its major attraction is the amphitheater, which was used by HBO as a film location for some of the scenes in the famous TV series Game of Thrones. Your guide will wait for you at the main entrance to the Italica site, to start your 2-hour tour that will take you back to the ancient times of Rome.

Very interesting. My favorite parts were the amphitheater and all the tile work on the floors of the homes. It was fun to explore the vomitorium of the amphitheater after the tour was over, finding all the little viewpoints into the arena. You could almost hear the roar of the crowd jeering at the gladiators in the arena.

The visit was carried out in Spanish and English, which doubled the time of the visit and became quite tedious. The guide gave some information that was not correct
