I found it valuable to have a human being to point out the details in the Alcazar. I learnt much about the Mudejar style from our guide Jesus. I also like that we each had an audio transmission device so that we can hear the guide speaking clearly without having to stand next to him in some of the crowded sections. What was missing for me was the tour was only 60 mins instead of 75 mins as advertised in the listing. More time could be given to us to first take photos and enjoy the space on our own (around 5 mins) when we enter a new area, start the explanation and then give some time (around 3 mins) for any last minute enjoyment. This would enable all visitors to be fully present during the explanation. Also, if you only do the Alcazar guided tour, you get to hang around and fully explore all the other parts of the Alcazar not covered by the tour which made the visit even more enjoyable. The others in my group who did a combined cathedral and Alcazar tour had 25 mins before moving off.

The tour and ability to skip the lines was worth it. It was great to hear all about the history and let me tell you, our guide knew ALOT. What made it better was his passion for the tiles and history. He also showed us a traditional dance along with photos that completed the experience. Highly recommend!

The guide was very late arriving at the starting point but was most apologetic. The tour was interesting with lots of information provided. Unfortunately, our tour was too short for a proper look at the amazing gardens but we were free to roam around once the tour finished.
