As Rome has Trastevere and Paris the Rivegauche, Seville has Triana, with its distinctive feature, its pride, its devotion to their memories and traditions, celebrating its own festival on the river bank.
During a walking tour you will learn a lot about the Trianeros, its inhabitants (not sevillians!) who has given to history sailors, potters, flamenco artists, bullfighters, actresses... in the old times there was a lot of fishermen and blacksmiths, most of them living in tenement houses in a particular way of living. The history of Triana is amazing, the Inquisition was based here, also a secret society of thieves and criminals, the sailor school, and from its bank departed the first fleet to circumnavigate the planet. The trianeros have had always a fighting spirit, so there were important battles and war events during the civil war and the Independence War against France.
During the day and before the walking tour, you will board to see Seville and Triana from the river Guadalquivir, as the sailors and discoverers did when they were leaving the known and safe land of Seville to go into the unknown and adventurous ocean and to others continents, maybe watching the views for the last time. Definitively is a different angle to see the city, absolutely pleasant, in an ecofriendly boat where you can have a drink while you relax and enjoy a truly unforgettable experience.
You will have an open entrance to the cruise from 11:00 to 19h:00.
