What people are saying about Sonoma Valley

We had a very enjoyable day touring three separate family owned wineries in Napa Valley with Platypus Tours. We had a fairly fun and friendly group of people to share the day with, and that helped! Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. We learned a LOT about the Napa Valley area and the history of the wine making industry there. We especially liked the visit to the first winery that included a tour of their facility, a walk through the vineyards tasting grapes, and a very thorough explanation of the history of the winery and the science involved in making a good wine each season. The wine maker explained how different grapes are processed or aged/blended differently to get the best from each harvest. We bought 6 bottles of good wines to take home, and prices were reasonable. All of the wineries refunded our tasting fees ($25 each) when we purchased one or two bottles. We would definitely recommend this as an introductory tour.

We were picked up right at our hotel and dropped off at our hotel. We didn’t have to worry about any driving. We had never been up in Napa Valley so it was nice to have the day planned out. The description for the day and what to expect was exact. Our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. We had a nice group of people on our tour. I would do it again.

Jared was an excellent guide. Great winery's chosen, and very knowledgeable.

Courtney did a great job. We had fun and enjoyed the 3 wineries.
