Revolutions, restorations, wars, the French Occupation, and lightning strikes, The Hague Tower survived it all. With 600 years of history, the Hague Tower is one of the oldest buildings in the city and a landmark for travelers and locals. Christiaan Huygens, Vincent Van Gogh, and even Napoleon climbed this unique tower. It was built in a hexagonal shape to protect it from the sea wind. Climbing the Hague Tower is possible for almost everybody as there are several floors on the way up on which you can rest for a moment. Once you're at the top, you will be able to enjoy panoramic views from the beautiful skyline, Rotterdam, and the sea. Their Dahlia show garden has more than 600 species of Dahlias. Daan will guide you through the farm, tell you all the secrets about planting bulbs, will show the beautiful Dahlia garden with thousands and thousands of beautiful flowers. You can walk through the fields, make great selfies and even pick your own bunch of Dahlias . Or just enjoy the view while having some home made apple pie, made by Anja. Your visit to De Tulperij will be one to keep in your memory forever. We’ll stay 1.5 hour at the Dahlia farm. After that we’ll bring you to Leiden. A beautiful city from where your boat cruise will sail through the typical Dutch landscape, 5 meters below sea level, cows, fields and working windmills.
