Full description

Set off on a full-day tour from Split and immerse yourself in Croatia's natural beauty at its best. Discover Plitvice Lakes National Park and all its pretty paths, lakes, waterfalls, and more. Take a boat ride through the blue-green waters, marvel at landscapes like you've never seen, and hear about the history of the park from your guide.

The tour begins at the meeting point in the city center of Split. Head off by bus or minivan for a 3-hour drive to the park. Upon arrival, your guide will collect your tickets and lead you into the park, where you'll spend around 5 hours totally immersed in the unparalleled natural beauty of the location.

On the tour, see one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world, composed of 16 lakes connected by 92 waterfalls, which cascade through its picturesque surrounding. Get a different vantage point of the park by hopping aboard a boat and cruising around on a connected circuit of the Plitvice Lakes.

Later, relax on a pretty electric train ride through the national park, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Wander around on your own or relax for a bit during a half-hour of free time before heading back to Split. Sip some water and eat some snacks on the relaxing ride.

I absolutely loved this experience. Plitvice Lakes National Park is so stunning. The park is well worth the drive. There is a decent amount of walking, but it is all mellow and the tour moves at a slow pace with lots of time to take pictures. In the park, this tour includes a boat ride, which was beautiful and gave us the opportunity to see the park from another angle. The park is well maintained. Our tour guide, Vice, was fantastic! He had a lot of interesting information to share with the group and was always ready to answer any questions we had or even just to make conversation as we walked. He offered to take photos of us and offered his recommendations about other things we could do in the Split area. I could tell that he really wanted us all to have a good time. This park was truly the most beautiful place I visited during my time in Croatia. I could not recommend this excursion enough!
