From here you will enter ancient Diocletian's palace where you will experience a ''konoba'' tavern-style restaurant and have seafood, handmade macaroni pasta (brought to Croatia by the Croatian Marco Polo), olive oil pies, and south Croatian red and white wines. In the medieval part of Old town you will have the opportunity to visit the oldest pastry shop in Split (their hundred-year-old recipes are top secret). A fantastic tour. Olga was an excellent guide, showing us around the green market and explaining about the local produce and recipes. She then showed us the key historical aspects of the palace and we finished with a delicious meal in a local restaurant and ice creams. Really enjoyable 3 hours and a great way to get to know Split. We were with one other couple so it was a nice group. We weren’t sure if we were standing in the right spot to meet the guide (we were), perhaps instructions could be clearer or suggest meeting in a specific restaurant or the SPLIT sign.

The tour was very fun and interesting! Our guide was very nice and knew a lot and you could easily ask her everything and just talk to her. The food was amazing, the places we saw were beautiful. The only disadvantage was that there was so much food, you were stuffed at the end. Tip: do take into account the heat of the sun

Extraordinary tour! First of all, Split is magnificent, a jewel along the Croatian coast. Our guide, a young Croatian native, knew so much about local foods, how they are grown, cooked and presented that by the end of the tour we could not wait to share the glories of Croatia with friends and family. We wandered through the green market tasting unique delicacies, learned the history of Diocletian's Palace as we slowly made our way through its halls and settled in for a superb lunch in a quiet, restaurant hidden in the ruins of the old city. A glorious day, one I would recommend to anyone who is lucky enough to visit Split.
