Full description

Escape the hustle and bustle of Split's city center on a full-day guided tour of one of Croatia’s most beautiful national parks at Krka. Glide along the Krka River's calm water on a boat cruise and make the most of your free time in the park once you arrive. Meet your guide at the Golden Gate of the Diocletian Palace for a transfer to Krka National Park. Alternatively, drive straight to the park in a private vehicle, depending on the option selected.

Upon arrival, go to the small town of Skradin to take a short boat cruise down the Krka River. Disembark at the Skradinski Buk waterfalls, and marvel at Europe’s largest travertine cascade system. Take in the fresh air and wild nature, or go to the Ethno Museum in one of the old mills. See the remains of ancient settlements and small stone houses, along with the first hydroelectric power station in Europe.

Krka is a park with waterfalls and we originally chose it for swimming, which is now prohibited. So even if it means choosing Plitvice is much prettier but the day longer. Dora our guide was friendly and gave us the right information. Finally we even did the wine and oil testing which allowed us to optimize the day.

If im correct David was our guide and what a great guide. Absolutely loved his sense of humour and he couldn't be any more helpful. Explained absolutely everything you needed to know and more, every little detail. Everyone was added to a WhatsApp group chat where all info was again provided so no margin for error. We had a fantastic experience and I would truly recommend it to anyone interested. Thank you David

Our host was Karla, who was extremely informative, friendly and helpful. She was very clear with meeting points and recommendations using a WhatsApp group chat. This was useful, as the tour was extremely self-led. You are dropped off at the waterfalls and can explore the park on your own. You can then choose your own departure time regarding the boat to Skradin, which you can explore on your own until the optional wine and olive oil tasting at 2:30. We loved this option of the tasting, we payed for one wine and one olive oil and we were able to share between us as a couple .Staff at the tasting were friendly and there was a shop to purchase their products, which we did as the white wine was superb. Would highly recommend this experience if you are in Split and looking for an excursion that is different to the boat tours!
