London Vintage Bus & Boat Tour See the highlights of London via 2 classic modes of transport on this half-day adventure. First, you will enjoy great views of Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye as you meander through the historic streets on board a vintage double-decker bus. Continue on and see St. Paul’s Cathedral - Sir Christopher Wren’s architectural masterpiece, where Admirals Nelson and Wellington are buried, and where Princess Diana and Prince Charles got married. Proceed to the Tower of London, built nearly 1,000 years ago during the reign of William the Conqueror. Home to the Crown Jewels, the Tower is protected by the famous Beefeaters, and the imposing palace has been used as a fortress and a prison throughout its history. Your guide will take you to Traitors' Gate, where prisoners entered the Tower for the last time. Next, take a short river cruise along the Thames, passing Shakespeare’s Globe, Cleopatra’s Needle, and London Bridge, before arriving at Westminster Pier.

London: Best of London Day Tour with Pub Lunch

3. London: Best of London Day Tour with Pub Lunch

Your tour begins at the front steps of St Martin-in-the-Fields Church. From there you will stroll through London’s most famous piazza, Trafalgar Square, admiring Nelson’s Column. You will then walk down the dramatic mall which leads to Buckingham Palace, and on which many royal processions take place. You will stop briefly at Henry VII’s St James’s Palace, before watching the Changing of The Guard near Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s official residence in London. Afterwards, you will make your way to Horse Guards Parade where the Queen’s Life Guards are on duty 24/7 protecting the royal palaces. You will walk down Whitehall, passing #10 Downing Street (the Prime Minister’s residence), the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. You will then jump into an iconic "Black Cab", which will take you to a well-deserved traditional English pub for a lovely lunch. Following lunch you will arrive to the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, which was built by Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London in 1666. Here you will be able to spend some time inside the magical Whispering Gallery, where you can see the amazing painted dome up close. It will be here that you will be able to best experience how the city's skyline is changing, as you observe new buildings such as the Gherkin, the Cheesegrater, and the Walkie-Talkie. Towards the end of your tour you will visit Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, where you can visit the monument which marks where the Great Fire of London began. Finally, you will arrive at the Tower of London, the famous royal fortress where the Queen keeps her Crown Jewels. Your tour ends here, from where you can easily take a taxi, bus, the tube, or a river boat to anywhere in London.

What people are saying about St Paul's Cathedral

Booked as a suprise for my mother's belated 70th birthday. We really enjoyed the whole experience and found our guide Pepe friendly fun and informative. There was a slight change to the route due to London bridge being closed but it didn't make any difference to the experience, We chose to sit on upper open air deck and was glad we dressed warm as it was cold, but thankfully dry. It was great experiencing the sights of London during the daylight but equally as lovely seeing it all lit up in the late afternoon. The river cruise was also great and interesting to see London from a different angle, again Jack was a great guide on the boat too. Again we braved the top deck which was open air and weren't disappointed. It did appear lovely and warm in the lower deck which would suit some people more. The afternoon tea at Harrods consisted of a glass of prosecco, two scones clotted cream and a pot of tea finished the tour off perfectly. Great tour and amazing value for money! 5* experience.

The guide was fantastic ! The bus trip and boat trip was very good value for money and very enjoyable! The only Disappointment was Harrods cream tea which is nothing to do with the tour but still the guide stayed with us even though the Harrods staff had messed up ! We waited over an hour and sat with no drink then had scones waited 20 mins for tea ! The tour itself is well worth it ! Highly recommend for a good day out !

Even having lived in London in excess of 20 years, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique experience that combines eating/drinking and sightseeing from the top deck of a double decker bus. Each course was beautifully presented and wine was beautifully paired. The two hours went by extremely quickly!

A very good surprise this Bustronome! Impeccable service, very well-designed equipment for eating and drinking quietly while driving, very comfortable and worthy of a gastronomic meal, really delicious! a concept that works wonderfully! a good way to visit the most famous monuments ^^

Would highly recommend the trip well worth the money , enjoyed the open top bus tour and then the river cruise was fantastic and then finishing off with afternoon tea at Harrods . Our tour guide Frank was fantastic
