Szczecin is fantastic city situated in West Pomerania with huge and fascinating history. Through years Szczecin was very important place on maps during World War II. Right here Germans built anti-aircraft shelter which has survived to this day and now you have an extraordinary opportunity to explore and find out on your own how it looks like.
Germans used 18th century corridors to finish this shelter. After the WWII the shelter was converted into a nuclear one. During the air raids it was a shelter for approx. 5000 people. It is located at a depth of 5 levels. The walls and ceiling are made of 3 meters of reinforced concrete. The total surface area of the shelter is about 3000 m2.
Go inside and experience unique show with many exhibitions, mannequins, photos, movies played with special sounds and lights. All of it make you an interesting lesson about World War II in an exciting way. In 2-hours version you will walk along “World War II Route” in the shelter as the main attraction and after this your guide will take you also to the Old Town where you can admire Medieval sights of the city, beautiful landscapes of Odra River from Bulwar Piastowski and see adorable Market Sienny Square with Town Hall.
