Everything was great. Ferry on time, great food options on board in case you're hungry. The self check in machine did not work with this type of ticket but the staff at the check in desk was very nice, we got our boarding cards in a few mins and they did not charge extra (in the email they said they would). Make sure you arrive on time, the ferry leaves right after the boarding is closed.

It’s straight forward, basically is the tickets booking , you go to Terminal D .There are automated tickets machines, you scan your booking QR code on the phone and you get printed 2 tickets : Tallinn-Helsinki and Helsinki-Tallinn. no hassle , all easy. Boarding opened 06:50. Bear in mind boarding closes about 15-20 min before the time, as they close bridges and all. The ferry will literally pull out on the dot. I booked 7:30-19:30. Terminal D is about 1.2 km from old town Fat Margaret Tower. There are plenty of breakfast options, Burger King, bars and coffee shops. There are even supermarket s on board. A bit expensive on board , but I decided last minute to have something & coffee so I can enjoy the sightseeing to max in Helsinki. Helsinki is small, walkable , but public transport is very good. I took 1 day card from the tram stop by the harbour, included ferry for Suomenlinna island( which was nice)

Ferry on time, respecting the times both outward and return. The hours dedicated to the visit of the Finnish capital allowed us to turn it far and wide thanks to our bicycles that allowed us to wander between the historic center, the avenues along the sea, the market and the parks that hosted open space concerts. The only attention to keep in mind is the address of the port where you disembarked to avoid making the wrong port for the return: we risked losing the ferry ‍♀️
