5 ways to recreate The White Lotus on your trip to Koh Samui, Thailand
5 ways to recreate The White Lotus on your trip to Koh Samui, Thailand

I knew that as soon as the new season of my favorite HBO show started this year, my travel FOMO would see me once again missing most of the episodes as I scrolled flight options and tried to find “The White Lotus” season 3 filming locations you can visit. I decided that wasn’t going to happen this time — so I went to Thailand.

I found myself in Koh Samui ready to have the White Lotus experience. I did a ton of activities that reminded me of the show and that the characters actually do in the show — or at least my own, more fun, certainly less dramatic versions of them. And it was awesome. This is a great trip! the group was about 12 people, which was still ok for this trip. I wouldn't recommend going with a bigger group. Our guide, Marta, was very kind and took good care of us by explaining everything and providing us water along the way. It's very cool to go with a traditional longtail boat, and when you're heading to the James Bond Island, there are some breathtaking views. Visiting the island is nice, and you get enough time to explore and take pictures. Then you go to a different island for a canoe trip. it's fun and the canoe guide will show you everything you want to see. the lunch at the Muslim village is also very good. there are many shops here and prices for souvenirs are pretty good. The final part, where you visit the Buddha is also very nice. unfortunately this temple is very very touristic and there's people feeding the monkeys everywhere, which is really bad for them.

the tour is a must, even when the weather is hot, the tour is well organized, having 5 stops 30 to 60 min each with 10-20 min in the ac van and drinking a lot, the heat is manageable. bell was our guide, he was wonderfull. explained everything and handle our questions with great proffessionalism! very recommended tour with plenty to see, very interesting cultural and historical experience.
