Jump aboard the city sightseeing bus in Toledo and discover its many attractions at your own pace. Embraced by the River Tajo, Toledo is a throwback to a time when religion seemed to harmonize rather than divide. From the top of an open-top double-decker bus, you will see evidence of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities that lived side-by-side. Marvel at Sephardic synagogues and mosques with horseshoe-shaped forms. The entire city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its monuments from the past are many. With your ticket, enjoy unlimited hop-on-hop-off bus rides, with buses that run every 30 - 60 minutes (depending on time of day), and depart from the Alcazar. You can take a full loop in just 50 minutes, but your ticket is valid for 24 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore at leisure.

The tour begins at Alcazar, however customers can join the tour at any stop along the route with their paper or mobile voucher. The meeting point for the free walking tour is Plaza Zocodover. Please note: until further notice, Stop 1 has provisionally changed due to works being carried out. The new stop will be on Calle Union, a few metres from the "Corralillo de San Miguel" car park

Know before you go

  • First tour departs from Stop 1 at 10:35am, last tour departs from Stop 1 at 8:05pm.
  • Mondays - Thursdays and Sundays: the bus runs every 35-40 minutes until 2:05pm and then every 60 minutes after that.
  • Fridays and Saturdays: The bus runs every 35-40 minutes until 2:05pm and then every 30 minutes after that
  • Full tour loop without hopping off takes 50 minutes
  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of travel on the voucher
  • Entrance to the Alcazar is temporarily free so it will not be listed on any of the tickets
  • Alcazar is closed on Mondays
  • Guided Night-Time Walking Tour: Starts every day at 8pm. Meet at Plaza Zocodover at least 15 minutes before the tour starts
  • Until further notice, the location of Stop 1 has provisionally changed due to works being carried out. The new stop will be on Calle Union, a few metres from the "Corralillo de San Miguel" car park

Good service - the bus was waiting at the station as the train from Madrid arrived so that we could all hop on without having to walk to Stop 1. Good map and audio of the history of the town, and amazing view of Toledo at the viewpoint, where we stopped for 5 minutes for photos. One point that wasn't clear when we booked is that the walking tour is only available once a day at 8 p.m. - so not great for the day trippers from Madrid!

We always do the tour bus first when we visit a town. Best way to get orientated and see what you want to visit later. And our guide on the walking tour was really great. Very passionate about her town. I'm using a mobility scooter and she made sure there were no steps on the tour and gained easy access everywhere we needed to enter. Well done!

Great way to get your bearings and see all the major sites, then decide which ones you want to do in more depth. The taped guided tour was informative and interesting. The driver was great and stopped a couple of times to give us 5 minutes for photos etc.
