Unfortunately my family all got food poisoning the night before and stayed in hotel all day. I had to go by myself with the group. No refunds are offered as it was within 24 hours. So I paid over $500 for a tour for one. My guide was very knowledgable, but we could have done the tour a lot quicker. She was extremely slow, but she was very nice and knew a lot of history. We did the tour of the palace first, and by the time We finished I was ready to Leave as it took so long. This tour should be an hour and not two hours. Many of the other tourists felt the same way……. It was great to see the palace without all the other tourists and so I highly recommend an evening tour.

Love Pamela really kept the tour very authentic and informative. For each and every question from us, stand it and answer it. Her English is really very pleasant and easy to understand. The only shortcoming I have to contribute is the transmitter we got on site. Unfortunately, this had a very poor quality, so that it was very difficult to understand and with noise. Tip: don't go in midsummer, as it's like a sauna in the two sights.

The tour started in Piazza San Marco at the appointed time. Small group (under 20) and the guide distributed ear pieces so we could hear her without straining. She was a local, very knowledgeable, with a pleasant Italian accent that made the experience authentic. She brought the Doge’s heyday to life and also explained a lot of details on the Basilica’s orthodox style layout. Great way to see these world famous sights and going in while other tourists left was a blast. We were literally the only people in these monuments.. well worth the additional expense.
