Important information

Know before you go

  • High tide in Venice can cause delays in entering the Doge's Palace and the palace authority may decide to suspend pre-reserved priority access, especially around October, November, and December.
  • If you take the 2:00 PM tour, the Correr Museum will be closed before your tour finishes. Therefore, you will have Correr tickets for the next day.

We had an excellent tour with Elisabetta. She was energetic and very knowledgable. She didn't just give us facts but had great stories so we could really understand the history behind this place and Venice. I highly recommend booking a tour with her - because of her we got so much more out of this visit to the Doge's palace.

Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable, and made the visit a really pleasurable one. The Doges palace is a fantastic piece of architecture and well worth a look at, the history and stories told by our guide about the palace and adjoining prison increased the enjoyment. I would highly recommend this trip.

Our guide Elisabetta was delightful. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and the palace. It was very easy to focus on the information because of her excellent presentation with maps, pictures and humor. She wove everything together with interesting facts about people and culture and time just flew by. The palace itself was grandiose and a true representation of the spirit and glory of Venice. We were also only 7 people and the 4h30 time slot had the advantage of less people in the building. The audio system worked perfectly and made it easy to understand Elisabetta from a distance. We highly recommend a tour with Elisabetta.
