During your trip, you will pass by the original region of Prosecco, Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a complex of small towns and expanses of vineyards. Visit 2 traditional wineries to learn all the secrets of Prosecco production and have 2 wine tasting sessions. First, stop at a family-run winery for a guided tour of the vineyards. Enjoy a tasting session paired with a light lunch with local products like cheese, salami, bread, and seasonal vegetables. After lunch with a view, head to the second winery to meet the winemaker for a guided tour of the production. Learn more about the Charmat method and a second wine-tasting session. The professional chef is Carolyn, an American married to a Venetian, who has lived in Italy for over 20 years, and has won numerous awards for her Venetian cooking. She will welcome you with a glass of prosecco to sip with "cicheti" (Venetian finger food). During the class, you will learn how to to make traditional Venetian dishes. You will learn how to create hand-made fresh pasta, following the traditional Italian style of pasta-making, filled with seasonal vegetables, meat, or both. You will also learn to make lovely, delicate Italian cookies, and a decadent Venetian creamy dessert. Your lesson ends enjoyably at the table (in the warm months it will be on the panoramic terrace, weather permitting). You will sit and taste your delicious creations, chatting over a nice glass of regional wine with Carolyn and any other lesson participants.

Enjoy an intimate, half-day food and culture tour of Venice, and see the major sights of “La Serenissima,” as well as some hidden treasures along the way. Visit osterias, trattorias, pastry shops and wine bars to sample the typical fare of the Veneto. Meet your guide close to the Rialto Bridge, and stroll through a market overflowing with fish, fruit and vegetables of every shape and color. Cross the Rialto Bridge to an interesting 18th-century osteria famous for its cicchetti (tapas-like snacks unique to Venice). A ride in a traditional, stand-up traghetto gondola is next as we cross the Grand Canal the way the locals do. Once in Rialto, the food tasting can begin! We will try some fresh fish at a small eatery, owned by a group of young locals with a passion for experimenting with traditional recipes, giving them a modern twist. Expect dishes such as black ink calamari, fried mix fish, polenta with seafood, tuna balls with tomatoes or seasonal vegetables (served in elaborate dishes). All the fresh fish served is coming from the Rialto market, a large fruit and vegetable market in the centre of Venice. After mouth-watering tastings, we will head to the few local spots that will help you better understand the culture of Cicchetti bars in Venice and how to enjoy food and wine experience. We will introduce you a new bar, owned by two Venetian brother with passion for locally sourced food and wine, and at this stop you will taste a local sandwich called `tramezzino` and very local `Venetian Spritz`. Moving forward you will try dishes such as Creamy Dried Codfish Baccalà or stockfish (dried cod), arrived in Venice in the 15th century thanks to Captain Querini. Here we will have a chance to try this traditional local recipe. Expect cod cooked in two different ways. Let us know, which one you prefer most? A few secrets and hidden spots near the Rialto are up next, which will demonstrate the importance of moving just one street away from the tourist hordes, to get a little slice of Venice to yourself. Expect meet and cheese Cicchetti in one of the spots and Lasagna or Risotto or Pasta in the other. Finish with well-deserved desert – Tiramisu. The tour will end at Campo San Bortolomio, which is surrounded by great restaurants and shops. Your guide will be happy to help you with recommendations for continuing the fun or with directions to help you back to your accommodation. Join the Glass Masters of The Glass Cathedral - Santa Chiara for a unique glass working demonstration and an introduction to the history of Murano Glass. An engaging experince for visitors eager to explore and learn about Murano and its' glass. This demonstration takes place daily, morning and afternoon, and lasts 25 minutes. The demonstration is accompanied by background music and guests may order a glass of wine or a drink from our "don Giovanni bar". Our guests are thereafter invited to explore The Glass Cathedral.
