Discover the magic of the wonderful city of Verona and the regions of Amarone and Valpolicella. On this tour we will head over to the medieval towns of the Valpolicella region and a chance to visit the 13th century church of San Giorgio with its splendid altar dating back to 712 A.D., where there are some of the most beautiful panoramic views of Sirmione and Lake Garda. From here we drive to a vineyard to have a guided visit and learn more about the famous Amarone wine. We will enjoy tasting some of the different wines they produce and a chance to purchase a few bottles to take with you, such as Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella. Onwards we travel to the city of Verona at Piazza Bra, where the world famous Roman Amphitheater – the 3rd largest in Italy - is located. It dates back to the 1st-Century A.D. and boasts more than 22,000 seats, making it a perfect venue for outdoor operas and concerts. You will have approximately 3 hours of free time (with optional lunch) to enable you to visit the house of Juliet (from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet), the historical Piazza delle Erbe and some of the exclusive shops around the city. Then just sit back and enjoy the views as we return to Venice.

Travel by train with a guide and go on a walking tour of Verona’s main sights, such as Ponte Pietra over the Adige River, a Roman amphitheater, Lamberti Tower, and more. Depart from Venice by train accompanied by a guide. Upon arrival in Verona, follow your guide on a walking route to reflect on the artistic and architectural legacy of the Roman, Renaissance, and medieval times. Walking on the cobbled streets of Verona's UNESCO-listed historic center, observe what the daily life of its inhabitants looks like. Pass by top attractions including Piazza delle Erbe, Porta dei Borsari, Lamberti Tower, and the Verona Arena in Piazza Bra. End the walking tour by the Adige River, at the Ponte Pietra. Then, enjoy free time to explore Verona on your own. You can walk along the riverbank, take photos of its colorful streets, or enjoy an Italian aperitif (at your own expense). After the break, if you have opted for a visit to Bologna, hop on a bus with your guide to get to your next destination. Once in Bologna, set out on a guided walking tour through the largest medieval old town in Europe. See Piazza Maggiore, the Accursio Palace, and the university. At the end of the tour, make a return journey back to Venice by train.

Get a pick-up by bus or minivan. Transfer to Verona; the transfer will be about 45 minutes long (it depends on the starting point). The tour guide will accompany you to the Arena, in the center of Verona. The ticket will be given to customers at gate n16 (open in Arena from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM). Your ticket is in category: unreserved stone steps and is included in the price. The opera is about 3 hours long. After the show, the tour guide will wait for all the guests and together they will reach the bus parking lot. Return at the pick-up point by bus. Depart Bergamo and journey to the medieval city of Verona, where you can travel back to the days of Shakespeare and call for Romeo from the balcony of Juliet's House. Admire the Roman arena, where operas and summer concerts are still performed on a regular basis. Get some time to stroll the narrow streets and discover Renaissance palaces at leisure. Then, make your way to Lake Garda and visit Sirmione. Wander the narrow streets of the former Roman summer retreat to see highlights such as the ruins of the city walls and Roman villa. Marvel at the 13th-century castle and see a rare example of a medieval port fortification used by the Scaliger fleet.
