Full description

Meet up with your official guide in the center of the city and get ready to discover the delights of this northern Italian city. Explore the streets of Verona’s historical center, taking in the churches and palaces that have helped make this town a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site.

Your first highlight will be Romeo’s house and Juliet’s house. Admire them from the outside while you learn about Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy that inspires hundreds of people to get married every year.

But Verona is not only about romance and love – it’s also the most important and powerful Roman city ever built, and the Arena is proof. Built in 30 AD, the Arena is remarkably well preserved for its age. Learn about its history and how it has survived all these years.

Then, enjoy the story of Piazza Dane, the Scala family, and all the historical figures who contributed to making Verona what it is. Take a selfie with a Roman soldier at the Arena, on the Adige River, in front of a glass of wine on the main square, and more.

It was an entertaining, very interesting tour, including to unknown corners full of art history in Verona. Of course, the main attractions could not be missing (Arena di Verona, Via Mazzini, Juliet's House, etc...). Everything was explained very well and our super friendly guide was always open to questions. Absolutely great!! Grace Mille.

I thought it was a far-reaching walk, super nice to see it from a different direction and certainly to get explanations that you would not get otherwise. I thought it was an expensive activity, especially because we had to pay quite a lot for our daughter of 1 year old and it is of no use to her.

Small, pleasant group (9 people). Unfortunately a bilingual tour (German and Italian), so that there are always short waiting times. But that's not a problem on vacation. We always had a lot to look around us. The 1.5 hours were sufficient for a first impression of Verona. The rest is to discover for yourself, which is also a lot of fun.
